Preparations for SE 2012 began back in October, as the deans met and determined a theme and teaching material for this June. Fueled by buckets of Starbucks Pikes Roast and Burger Island cuisine, the deans have master-minded (great word!) a plan to present SE “ALIVE” in June of 2012. Scripture says that once “…you were dead in your sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world… 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us ALIVE with Christ even when we were dead in sin – it is by grace you have been saved.” This year we will look closely at what it means to us that Christ died for the world, and specifically, at what his death means for us.
